EFEDA is the voice of the European Foodservice Equipment Distribution Industry and will assist Manufacturers in the distribution of their equipment in the European Market.

Through the direction of EFEDA Members, the Association seeks to identify business opportunities across Europe

Sales Services
To bring together a body of professional foodservice equipment distributors who promote the highest quality of pre-sales and after-sales service.

EFEDA Sole Distribution Agreement
Recommend the use of the EFEDA Distribution Agreement between all parties.

Means of Communication
EFEDA publishes monthly email newsletters to Members and every six months will produce an EFEDA News Magazine for wide distribution in the Industry.

EFEDA MEMBERS’ Database
Lists over one hundred leading companies who are either Full Members (qualified and professional Exclusive Distributors). Affiliate Members (European Manufacturers and Professional Consultants) together with NAFEM Affiliates (North American Manufacturers).

Industry Meetings
Meetings with other organisations to discuss matters of common interest and encouraging comprehensive communication and teamwork throughout the Industry.
EFEDA will be organising national conferences in different countries rather than an annual conference in a particular country.

Standards and Approvals Committee
The Committee monitors the progress of European Directives.

EFEDA has worked on the CEN Workshop for the Cleanability for Foodservice Equipment and keeps Members informed of developments on this and other matters affecting the Industry.

PROMOTING THE INDUSTRY
EFEDA Annual Conference - and national conferences in different countries around Europe and very occasionally in the USA. In the future.

The Aim: to build bridges and develop closer relationships between European and North American manufacturers together with companies from the Far East and the European Distributors and Dealers with the Chains, Consultants and End-users generally.

The best opportunity for the European Industry to meet regularly in order to undertake in depth networking, exchange views and discuss developments and solutions to mutual problems. A ‘vital venue’ for those wishing to influence their future in Europe.

EFEDA Email Newsletter: published monthly in order to keep everyone informed about the activities of EFEDA and the industry in general.
This is supplemented by regular circulars sent out to Members.

Executive Committee Meetings: There will be occasional meetings at different venues in Europe but regular communication has now been established with conference calls to discuss policy issues and plan events and other services for the membership.

Involvement in Trade Exhibitions: EFEDA attends major exhibitions in Europe such as HOGATEC-Dusseldorf, EXPO-Milan, INTER-NORGA-Hamburg, HOTELYMPIA-London and at the NAFEM Show in the United States.

Professionalism is the Key: EFEDA encourages Education and Training in the Industry and various issues are under consideration.
